95 years of pioneering: Duijnisveld Greenhouse Structures

Last week, Dutch greenhouse builder Duijnisveld Greenhouse Structures celebrated its 95 year existence. Its steel greenhouse structures can be found all over the world.

This was at a time when the first innovative growers were experimenting with wooden greenhouses and under 'flat glass'. The idea caught on, so in 1925 a factory had to be built in Poeldijk to secure production.

In 1934 Cees stopped with his own nursery to completely focus on greenhouse structures. After WWII, his sons Jan and Aad joined him in the company. In 1961 a completely new factory was put into operation at the Monsterseweg in Poeldijk.
