Increase photosynthesis while keeping your plants in balance

Many growers control their greenhouse climate based on pre-defined set points for temperature and humidity. In most cases the outside conditions aren’t taken into account. For example for ‘ventilation’ a set point of 23 degrees Celsius is chosen, while the current outside temperature is 27 degrees Celsius. As a consequence the vents need to be opened widely and humidity level near the plants will be a leading factor.

Also, what isn’t often taken into account is that if humidity and CO2 levels are increased at the same time at a high radiation, photosynthesis is stimulated. So, when vents are opened often based on greenhouse temperature, this reduces RH and CO2 level. As a consequence this hinders growth and production.

Your climate computer allows you to use influences based on radiation. This means that the set point for greenhouse temperature is impacted by light. So when striving for a high greenhouse temperature at high radiation levels, this allows better control of humidity and CO2 level. As a result photosynthesis is increased which leads to a win/win situation.
