Sortimo, a German producer of company vehicle equipment, went off the beaten track when revealing an electric cargo bike for urban entrepreneurs at company vehicle fair IAA. The cargo bike, called ProCargo CT1, was designed in the first place for freelancers in urban home maintenance, according to spokesperson Jana Heiss. The ProCargo CT1 operates on a 500 Wh lithium ion battery. Its maximum speed is 25 kilometres per hour.
Bike couriers using the electric cargo bike, can also use the tricycle for other purposes. For example, a bag for parcel distribution could be placed on the platform, offering opportunities for food and delivery services.
