Premier Tech announces that Mr. Bernard Bélanger, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, has been awarded the Order of Canada, the highest civilian honor in the country, on Friday, September 23.
During a ceremony that took place at Rideau Hall, Ottawa, Mr. Bélanger received the Order of Canada insignia from the hands of His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, in recognition of his achievements as an entrepreneur who managed to find the right balance to build a global business while always caring for the wellness of his community. Established in 1967, the Order of Canada has since been awarded to more than 6,000 artists, researchers, educators, doctors, entrepreneurs and other people of influence. Their contributions take many forms, but all of these personalities have one thing in common: they have enriched the lives of others.
Deeply rooted in his region, the Bas-Saint-Laurent, Bélanger has always refused to follow the common paths and take success for granted. As a builder and an accomplished businessman, Mr. Bélanger has known how to steadily and consistently leverage his activities and the potential of his workforce in order to generate collective wealth on the local, regional and national levels. Many students, athletes, artists and non-profit organizations have benefited from his philanthropy.
Mr. Bélanger said he was very touched by this recognition. However, he emphasized that Premier Tech’s achievements are mainly the fruit of the company’s team members’ efforts and passion: “They are the ones who make success happen for our clients around the globe, and it is with them that I will share this great honor.”
