The Harrogate Autumn Flower Show has something for every gardening and veg-growing fanatic. Held at the Great Yorkshire Showground, in the United Kingdom, the horticultural event hosts a wide range of activities from plant pavilions to live cookery theatre. One of the shows main highlights is the giant vegetable growing competitions – that started in 1983 – which has a top prize of £1,000 for the heaviest vegetable. The Harrogate Flower Show is held twice each year, and is widely regarded as one of the biggest and most prestigious independent shows within the gardening calendar, it ran from 16-18 September.
