Dutch pepper grower expands with acquisition of rose grower

Due to the acquisition of the 8.5 hectare operations of Rosa Natura in Honselersdijk, Dutch Pepper grower Overgaag in De Lier will have a total acreage of 24 hectares.

Overgaag has acquired the former rose greenhouses from Rosa Natura as a result from a the good opportunities in the market; according to a news release theur is a big demand for their bell peppers which are being marketed via Harvest House.

Overgaag is a family business specialized in the cultivation of red bell peppers and fully situated in Westland. In the coming months the acquired new greenhouse will undergo reconstruction. The first bell pepper plants will be planted in December and the first harvest of the new location is expected in March 2017.

The transaction was made under the guidance of Yeald in Naaldwijk, on behalf of Overgaag. Rosa Natura will cease its rose production in mid-September.
