Bejo winner of the Doing Business in Africa Award
On Thursday the 10th of December, the winner of the award was announced during the annual African Ambassadors' Dinner in Utrecht, the Netherlands. On behalf of Bejo, Andre Dekker, Area manager Africa & Middle East, was taking part.
During a talk show with the other nominees Andre explained about several initiatives Bejo has in Africa. Among these initiatives are several storage projects that Bejo does in Mali and Senegal. By providing the right varieties, adapting the traditional cultivation and storage methods, Bejo contributes to improving Africa's agriculture and making them less dependent on import. Also we collaborate with partners in the region. For example the out-grower project with JPB. Bejo helps local growers to produce the right varieties which are being purchased by JPB.
