US (TX): Davies honored by International Plant Propagators’ Society

Dr. Fred T. Davies of College Station was recently awarded the 2015 International Award of Honor by the International Plant Propagators’ Society.

He is a Regents Professor Emeritus, Senior Borlaug Fellow in Horticulture and AgriLife Research Faculty Fellow at Texas A&M University.

Davies was cited for exceptional and distinguished service to the Society and to the membership of plant professionals.

The society is a global plant professional network that shares plant production knowledge with eight regions worldwide.

Davies co-authored “Hartmann & Kester’s Plant Propagation: Principles and Practices,” a textbook that is used internationally by universities and industry.
