After 17 years, 500+ students, 13,600 tomato plants, 5,100 days of production, and 680,000 lbs of tomatoes grown and harvested, Dr. Pat Rorabaugh taught her final PLS 217 class at the University of Arizona Controlled Environment Agriculture Center in Tucson.
On CEAC's Facebook page was a post saying that Dr. Pat has been teaching students to grow hydroponic tomatoes since before the CEAC was even built. She will be retiring following the Spring 2016 semester.
The students and CEAC director doctor Gene Giacomelli presented her with flowers and a cake to celebrate the occasion.
