UK: Job opportunity at British Growers Association
British Growers is a not for profit organisation providing a range of specialist administration and finance services to 20 different organisations operating across UK horticulture and the Fresh Produce Industry. We are a progressive organisation in an exciting and fast moving industry aspiring to grow our range of services and clients and we are looking for the right individual to join our team and make a difference.
The successful candidate will be able to evidence a track record of working in a busy and diverse office. They will be experienced in undertaking a variety of tasks – in particular arranging meetings, conferences and seminars, creating and dispatching agendas, minutes and meeting papers and the administration systems associated with running multiple companies. You will need to be able to proof read and format documents, have experience with databases and mail merge and be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. You will need to demonstrate flair for working efficiently and accurately and for improving and developing our internal systems to optimise the overall performance of the business. A strong bias towards good customer service will be a further important attribute.
The role is a full time salaried position, Monday to Friday with one hour for lunch. Hours of work will reflect the needs of the business but are primarily 8.45am to 5pm with occasional overnight stays in advance of large conferences. An interest in production horticulture and or agriculture would be highly beneficial.
