Monday November 23rd 2015 construction has started on the new substrate facility of Jiffy Products International BV, in Zwijndrecht.
Robert Kreukniet, alderman economy of the municipality of Zwijndrecht, is very much enthused about Jiffy Products building its new substrate facility in Zwijndrecht. ‘The news of Jiffy coming to Zwijndrecht offers opportunities to our local economy. It shows the importance of the location of our industrial area which is well connected through highways and waterways.'
At the moment Jiffy operates several production locations in the Netherlands and aims, by bringing these locations together and investing in modernization, to be ready for the future guaranteeing the Dutch as well as international customers top quality substrates. The new location will consist of a 27.000 sq mtr production hall and a 550 sq mtr office. The current harbour area will be transferred over into a harbour where sea going vessels can be offloaded. Total investment will be between €25 and €35 million.
Jiffy’s new production location will be finished latest December 31 2017 and will employ around 100 people.
