According to Dennis de Zeeuw of DQ HortiSoluciones, both his customers and represented companies recognize the extra value of having a local representative in Mexico. "The local growers appreciate that we can supply them directly with Dutch products and services. We have a Dutch mentality, which means that we can react fast on the requests from the customers and we deliver quality products and service. At the same time, we are familiar with the local circumstances and demand, and we fully understand what the Mexican grower expects from a supplier."
Since its start up last year, DQ HortiSoluciones has been providing its 'no nonsense' service to Mexican growers. Operating from a warehouse in Queretaro, the company provides direct dealership and service for companies such as:
- C&E Holland B.V.(Hooks, twine and wire products)
- Hortimat (Overhauled machines and materials)
- Holland Gaas (Insect netting)
- Holland Scherming (Screening installations)
- Relab den Haan (Analysis of water, soil and plant samples)
The greenhouse twine and hooks of C&E are well represented in the catalogue of DQ HortiSoluciones. Last month C&E reached an agreement with the large Portuguese twine manufacturer Cordex for the dealership in Mexico. This allows the company to make even more products available against the sharpest pricing.
Over the coming years, the young team of DQ HortiSoluciones want to grow and become an important player on the Mexican market for greenhouse supplies. De Zeeuw: "By learning the local circumstances, we become well acquainted with the local industry standards and provide tailor made solutions that the growers are asking for. We can provide products for medium and high tech greenhouse growers, but we will also have solutions available for netting and shade system cultivation."
