The opening of the new co-production center of Koppert Cress and Murakami Farms in the presence of Minister Kamp.
During the trade mission on Monday, the delegation paid a visit to other greenhouse complexes in the Yamanashi Prefecture; among them Japanese vegetable grower Agri Mind and the neighboring greenhouse of Murakami Farm. The latter grower teamed up with Dutch cress and microgreens grower Koppert Cress, to realize their first Japanese production location. The new greenhouse is controlled with Dutch technology from Priva (climate control) and Hawe (logistics).
Also the greenhouses of GrandPa Dome were visited. Inside these circular structures, lettuce is grown on hydroponics.
Later today, Minister Kamp and Prime minister Rutte will have meetings with the entire trade delegation, and the signings of several new contracts between Dutch and Japanese companies are on the agenda. As well as this, Kamp and Rutte will have meetings with the Japanese Norinchukin Bank and the Dutch Rabobank in regards to the financing of the Japanese agrifood sector.
