Dutch tomato growers Cees and Leo van der Lans are reliving old times. "In greenhouse 1 on the Herenwerf we are going to grow Rebelski beefsteak tomatoes of the Ruiter Seeds/Monsanto," the company says. "A whole new cultivation challenge as it is a relatively new crop for us."
Still, the cultivation is not entirely unknown to them, as they used to grow beefsteaks a couple of decades back as well. You can see that in this old picture:

Rebelski has positioned itself as a true rebel in the existing beef tomato segment because of the following properties:
- Characteristic authentic ribbed beefsteak tomato shape
- Red color interior
- Red color exterior
- IR Mildew resistance, which makes this tomato even more durable
- Recessed handle, which reduces the risk of puncture damage to a minimum
- Great, typical beef tomato taste
- Excellent quality also in summer, the period in which beef tomatoes are most consumed
