During the Canadian Greenhouse Conference, Alberta based high wire cucumber grower Eric Doef of Doef's Greenhouse Ltd. and David Arkell of 360Energy gave a presentation on the responsible use of energy in greenhouse vegetable production. TheGrower.com made a very interesting recap of the presentation, in which Eric Doef provided his opinion on cultivation with LEDs and the role of energy management.

“Energy consultants are as important as crop consultants," says Doef in the recap of his talk at TheGrower.com. According to Doef, their overall costs are declining year over year due to market conditions, as well as their attention to usage and management of their energy inputs.
