Netherlands: 16 Korean growers receive training at GreenQ

From the 19th of October until the 24th of October 2015, 16 growers from Korea will take part in a training program at DLV GreenQ. The training focuses on tomato and cucumber as main crops. The focus lies on the application of improved strategies for the local growers. Several examples of topics are stated below:
  • The ideal greenhouse climate for Korea and how to improve the climate in less advanced greenhouses.
  • The important aspects for propagation for tomato/cucumber in local climate conditions in Korea.
  • Possibilities for local Korean growers to use less energy, maintaining the production level.

Besides the intense training program the participants have visited several growers and a packing station. These growers are eager to gain more practical skills combining theory with practice in order to improve their growing skills.

This training session in the Netherlands at the training facilities of DLV GreenQ is a follow up to two training sessions that took place in Korea in August and September 2015 for a larger group of local Korean growers and Consultants. The 16 growers visiting the Netherlands for the training program were selected to take part in the training schedule in the Netherlands.

For more information about training sessions please contact Steven Madern, Sales Representative of DLV GreenQ.
