Invitation to the General Assembly of ESA:
"Austria: "The socio-economic value of plant breeding in Europe"
Within the framework of the General Assembly of ESA European Seed Association, the first results of a European study on the "socio-economic value of plant breeding in Europe" will be presented. The study, commissioned by the "European Technology Platform Plants for the Future" and carried out by the renowned HFFA Research Institute in Berlin, analyses the socio-economic value of plant breeding at European level, describing important effects on across societal discussions and defined goals.
ESA and Saatgut Austria are pleased to invite you to the presentation of the study’s preliminary results in the context of the ESA General Assembly. After the Annual Meeting ESA’s Secretary-General, Garlich von Essen, and the Chairman of Saatgut Austria, Michael Gohn, are available to the media at a press conference titled "The current situation of the seed industry in Europe and Austria".
