Successful edition of Asia Fruit Logistica for Enza Zaden

Asia: Healthy and sensible food is becoming more popular

From 2-4 September Enza Zaden participated in the Asia Fruit Logistica. For Enza Zaden this year's edition was very successful. "We had a lot of visitors at our booth, and the quality of these visitors was very good," said Ruud Berkvens, after the Asia Fruit Logistica. There were visitors from every Asian country.

Our representatives from Korea, India, China and South East Asia had guests over from their areas. There was a good mix of visitors, representing retail, fresh vegetable trade and growers, but also many starters looking for innovative products. Our new, striped sweet pepper with red and yellow colours was definitely an eye catcher.

Healthy food

The theme of our booth this year was healthy food. Enza Zaden's breeders are constantly working to develop healthy and delicious vegetables. The trend of healthy and sensible food is becoming increasingly popular. Snack vegetables have grown in popularity in recent years and people are becoming increasingly conscious of what they eat.

Experience

During Asia Fruit Logistica, tomatoes, snack tomatoes, mini sweet peppers, bitter gourd and lettuce were in the spotlight at Enza Zaden's booth. Ruud: “The chef made delicious healthy bites for our visitors, made with products from the Enza Zaden product range. We wanted the visitors of our booth to experience that healthy food is also very tasty. A Campari tomato becomes especially tasty with some fresh basil leaves and mozzarella cheese. Bitter gourd cooked in a creamy curry becomes even more delicious, while maintaining the healthy benefits of the fruit!"

Enza Zaden looks back at another great edition of the Asia Fruit Logistica. This event is very important for the Asian market.
