US(VT): Two day course: Growing Greens for Market

In this two-day course from Vermont Technical College, students will learn how to create a crop plan for growing successional greens throughout the growing season. This will include plant dates, harvest times, yields and income. The course focuses on head lettuce, salad mix, micro greens and spinach. Students will spend time in the field looking at seeding and harvesting techniques, washing, storage and packing along with soil needs for each crop. This course will include a field trip to Pete's Greens in Craftsbury Vermont.
