On September 18th at the Navaisha Horticultural Fair, Green Farming will organize the launching of the Growing Solutions Kenya program in close cooperation with the Royal Netherlands Embassy.
Growing Solutions Kenya is a Dutch government sponsored program aiming to support small and medium sized vegetable growers in Kenya. The program is implemented by a consortium of 12 Dutch greenhouse technology providers. At three demo-units at Latia Resource Centre Growing Solutions they will demonstrate innovative greenhouse production technology adapted to the local production conditions. Small & medium sized vegetable growers will be trained and informed on the advantages of the technology in terms of sustainability and cost effective production of vegetables in
greenhouses.
With the implementation of Growing Solutions the Dutch government intents to give a positive impulse to the Kenyan vegetable growing sector while creating business opportunities for Dutch technology suppliers.
The launching event will take place at 18 September, at 15.00 hrs at the Royal Netherlands Embassy stand at the fair.
