De Ruiter launches See The Taste label

De Ruiter renews the launch of their tomato label See The Taste. All tomatoes that are marked with the See The Taste-label distinguish themselves in both colour and taste. They all feature an attractive dark red colour – both externally and internally – and excel in a great taste. In other words: See The Taste is a label that indicates that excellence can be seen.

Adding value for trade partners

The current tomato market is shifting. Traders and retailers feel the urgent need to stand out in product quality, in order to increase repeat orders. By labelling their products with See The Taste, they prove they are providing the best tomatoes in colour and taste. See The Taste indicates high quality and aligns with the worldwide trends on healthier food.

See The Taste already covers various De Ruiter varieties in several segments, like the successful Juanita, DRC 564 and Proudesse. De Ruiter will add new tomatoes to the label soon, like the newly introduced Sevance* (formerly known as DR1398TH).

Visual proof of quality

All partners of De Ruiter that grow varieties within the See The Taste range can label their products with the See The Taste-label by using the logo that De Ruiter specifically developed for this purpose. The logo was created in a consumer friendly way: it is fresh, attractive and highly recognizable. All partners can use the label in marketing and communication activities, both aimed at consumers and chain partners.

Customer Satisfaction

Independent institutes like Wageningen University and retailers researched the See The Taste varieties. Consumer feedback clearly indicates a positive response and acknowledgement of the added value of a label for quality in taste and colour. The results on customer satisfaction and the intention to re-buy were significantly positive.
