Netherlands: Drone films new greenhouse Van der Avoird Trayplanten

Tray plants company Van der Avoird is currently building its new greenhouse operation at Alphen Chaam. It is to be the new main site. On 15 hectares, greenhouses, cold stores, workshops, warehouses and office spaces are being built.

Peter van der Avoird has been cultivating tray plants since 2002. Later, the range was extended with starting material for blackberries and raspberries and the company began growing plants in a greenhouse. This was to guarantee the quality of the raspberries and misted tips. In 2011, the company eventually grew on 2.4 hectares of greenhouses, 8.5 hectares of container field and 5 hectares of open ground. At the new location, in the Brabant municipality of Alphen Chaam, the company will be growing on 15 hectares.

A drone has captured progress on a number of videos.
