Red bell pepper prices are around 1.20/1.30 euros. The yellow bell peppers vary greatly in price, from 1.50 to 2 euros. Orange bell peppers are around 1.80 and green bell peppers are going for 1.10. Johan is positive about the upcoming weeks for the bell pepper market, "We did have some problems due to Polish bell peppers on the market, but Spain has very little to no bell peppers. Therefore I expect that demand will remain high for us in the coming weeks."

Johan Joosen, Scherpenhuizen:
Netherlands: Good demand and prices for bell peppers
Dutch bell pepper sales have been going well, "Demand is coming from all directions. There is reasonably good demand from the U.S., German demand is good and there is demand coming from Eastern Europe and Scandinavia," says Johan Joosen, product manager for bell peppers at Scherpenhuizen. "Although there are big differences in the country, overall supply is good. The bell peppers suffered somewhat from the extreme heat, but nevertheless the average quality is good."
