Video: German growers promote German products

German vegetable and fruit growers are currently promoting regional products by bringing their cultivation to the public eye. Daily, a new video is being placed on YouTube so that people can get an insight into various German businesses.




The videos are part of the Deutschland, Mein Garten campaign. Germans are generally enthusiastic about regional products - but this campaign is designed to make consumers more aware of the German fruit and vegetable sector. This summer, they are holding a summer tour. A reporter is travelling through Germany throughout July. He will travel 3,500 km and visit many German growers.

Reporter Matthias has already visited Christian Filla in Straelen, grower of mini cucumbers and Carsten Knodt, tomato grower at Neurather Gärtnern, to talk about insects in the glasshouse. Also, production of cherries, rocket, kohlrabi, mushrooms, iceberg lettuce, beans and the Pfalz market has already been covered.
