Time lapse: Tomato plants in the climate cell

Growing in multi layered climate cells and without daylight. These are the horticultural themes of the future, but also of now. In a time lapse video, WPS has given a view into its climate cell. The research cell has been developed in collaboration with Certhon and is equipped with LED lights and cultivation containers.

The first research tests in collaboration with clients are now complete. In the video, the development of tomato plants in the first 4 weeks can be seen. The aim of the research was to find out how tomato plants develop during the propagation phase in an environment without daylight but with the assistance of LED lighting.

The climate cell can be adapted to the requirements of the client. The best way of applying the technology in the climate cell varies per situation. The user can experiment with the cell in order to improve the growing process and quality of the plants - to decide the best settings for cultivation. WPS facilitates this process in relation to cultivation without daylight.
