New CMF research greenhouse for INRA in Angers

November 2014 saw the inauguration of the research greenhouses at the INRA (National Institute of Agronomic Research) in Angers. Located on the Agrocampus Ouest site in Angers (Loire Valley), the new greenhouses facilities shared by the INRA-INEM meet the growing demand in plant experimentation needs, mainly for flower production.

On nearly 2000 m2 of CMF greenhouses, 25 glazed climate compartments and 12 climate chambers "phytotron" type, can be found.

The special feature of 7 out of the 25 glazed compartments is that they have been designed for biosafety, so as to meet the specific levels S2 and S3 containment criteria. This makes Cross-contamination impossible between the inside and outside air of the greenhouse. This is crucial and designed for the most sensitive research.

A broad range of very diverse technologies can therefore be seen on the site, from roof frame natural ventilation to double air flow treatment unit.
