The world looks towards the Netherlands which developments are taking place and above all, which solutions we have to offer. To maintain and enhance this position in the world collaboration throughout the supply chain is crucial. That is exactly the focus of the Agro Food & Technology Week, which will take place from 1-4 December 2014.
The main themes are: ‘ hygienic design’ , ‘ cooling and heating in an energy efficient way’, ‘ intelligent packaging’ and ‘ customization of food and 3D printing’. These themes will offer participants the ingredients to create innovation opportunities.
The four day programme:
On the 1st and 2nd of December 2014 Wageningen University (WUR) will host 4 different master classes on the basis of the four themes mentioned above.On the 3rd of December 2014 the entire supply chain will come together at the Agro Food & Technology Conference. The purpose of the conference is to stimulate innovation and to make innovation happen. That is why the supply chain, knowledge institutions, government agencies and financial institutions are present to support companies in this sector. Speakers include Guido Landheer (Ministry of Economic Affairs), Ineke Dezentjé (FME), Elies Lemkes-Straver (ZLTO), Philip den Ouden (FNLI), Theo Bruinsma (Marel) and Arnold Stokking (TNO).
The last day of the Agro Food & Technology Week has the topic “ Dutch food systems, Facilitating food worldwide”. And is mainly used as a farewell reception for Jan Hak as Chair of GMV (the Dutch organization of machine builders for the food sector).
