US: ZeroTol 2.0 now suitable for hydroponic systems
ZeroTol 2.0 is now labelled for hydroponic use* including foliar sprays, media drenches, nutrient/reservoir tanks and aerosol/fogging applications. ZeroTol 2.0 will control root diseases like Pythium (Root Rot and Damping off), Phytophthora (Blight) Fusarium (Wilt), Verticillium (Wilt), Rhizoctonia (Root Rot/Bottom Rot), Thielaviopsis (Root Rot) that can plague hydroponic systems.
ZeroTol 2.0 will treat NFT (nutrient film technique) and bato bucket hydroponic systems that can grow algae and harbour disease pathogens, keeping systems clear, water flowing more freely and providing nutrients more readily available to the roots. Crops benefit from ZeroTol 2.0, as it releases vital dissolved oxygen to the root zone for increased plant productivity.
Jeff Kline, BioSafe Systems’ Ornamental Sales Manager says, “ZeroTol 2.0 has had a presence in the horticulture industry for over 15 years. With the growing trends we wanted to introduce the product to growers using hydroponic systems. Hydroponic growers can use ZeroTol 2.0’s superior formulation and reap those same pathogen control benefits.”
