International growers add colour to event:

Photo report International Floriculture Trade Fair

This week, the International Floriculture Trade Fair in Haarlemmermeer took place. Also paid a visit to learn about the latest developments in the international floriculture industry. At the fully booked IFTF show, a large number of international flower growers and traders filled the trade show floor, as well as a premium selection of breeders. Besides all the flowers, more and more suppliers of horticulture technology showed an interest in exhibiting at IFTF and a nice selection of flower handling technology, packing lines, biological controls, greenhouse structures and greenhouse supplies could be found.

The amount and the nature of the visitors at the IFTF was remarkable; many international visitors attended the exhibition at the Expo in Vijfhuizen and probably combined this with visiting the FloraHolland Trade Fair that was held simultaneously at FloraHolland in Aalsmeer. It seams that the international horticulture industry still sees the first week of November as the trade show month in Holland, even though the Horti Fair doesn't exist anymore. '

But on the other hand less innovations could be found at the show. It seems like many exhibitors are still waiting to launch their new products at the IPM in Essen. Despite this, Holland is back at the top and is the place to be in the first week of November for any one active in the field of growing and trading cut flowers & potted plants.
