Canada: Windset Farms wins ‘We Heart Local’ award Vancouver, BC

Windset Farms has won the ‘We Heart Local’ award for favourite local greenhouse or veggie grower in British Columbia, Canada. The We Heart Local Awards is the first-ever community driven Awards program to celebrate food and agricultural producers across BC. Running its second year, the awards showcase the favourites of the BC food community in fifteen categories. Farms and food businesses are nominated and voted for by local consumers and the awards help highlight the support for the local food community.

“Earlier this year, we had the honour of receiving the ‘World’s Best Tomato Grower’ award at an international event, and we feel even more fortunate after winning this local award.” says John Newell, COO of Windset Farms. “We could not have done it without our supportive Friends in Freshness® who voted, and we hope to give back to them and our local consumers by continuing to supply safe, delicious and sustainable fruits and vegetables”, says Newell.
