Netherlands: HollandDoor organisation expands again
To help meet the growing interest in tailor-made training courses and study trips from both the Netherlands and abroad, HollandDoor welcomed two new members to its team this summer. Geerten van der Lugt and Ruud Pothoven have strengthened the current team which, 18 months after HollandDoor Coöperatie U.A. was established, now consists of seven members.
Geerten is an expert in plant growth, the root environment, water and plant nutrition. He knows his science, has the practical skills and is solution-oriented, so he is highly adept at linking theory and practice. He also has relevant international experience in Europe, Africa and North and South America. Geerten is fully committed to a sustainable development of horticulture worldwide.
In Ruud Pothoven HollandDoor welcomes an expert in subjects such as the bio-based and circular economy, metropolitan agriculture (urban agriculture and agriparks), and sustainable waste and energy management. He has experience in several different agricultural sectors, from intensive and extensive livestock farming to arboriculture, mushroom cultivation and greenhouse and open field horticulture. Internationally he has worked mainly in Germany and China.
HollandDoor is the leading independent specialist in training courses, study trips and business matchmaking for the global agricultural sector. Enquiries from businesses both at home and abroad are translated into tailor-made programmes, after which these are implemented by making a link to relevant Dutch businesses and organisations.
