Hybrid tomato varieties for tropical cultivation

Green Seeds - American Hybrid Seeds offer the following tomato varieties for tropical cultivation :


Tomato F1 Furia: Hybrid variety with wide adaptability . Grows strongly with a vigorous foliage. Semi determinate growth. Maturity : 65-70 days after transplant. Harvesting period lasts more than 45 days . Plants bear many fruits in clusters with oblong shape, medium size, uniform colour, weighing 100 - 110 g per fruit, thick, hard fruits (good for transportation), long shelf life. High tolerance to Fusarium O, Pseudomonas, Stemphylium, Verticillium and Heat.


Tomato F1 No 7: Semi-determinate plant growth with high fruit setting. Maturity : 65-68 days after transplant. Fruits are oblong-square shaped, uniform colour, and weigh 110-120 gram (0.25 lb) each. There are 5 fruits per cluster. Tolerant to Nematods and TYLCV /WTG (whitefly-transmitted geminivirus ), BW (bacterial wilt), TMV (tomato mosaic virus), F-1 (fusarium wilt race 1), Sm (gray leaf spot - Stemphyllium) and Nematods. Dry matter : 5,1


Tomato F1 2026: Determinate plant growth with high fruit setting. Maturity : 65-68 days after transplant. Fruits are egg-shaped, uniform colour, and weight 110-120 gram (0.25 lb) each. Tolerant to Nematods and TYLCV /WTG (whitefly-transmitted geminivirus ), BW (bacterial wilt), TMV (tomato mosaic virus ), F-1 (fusarium wilt race 1), Sm (gray leaf spot -Stemphyllium) and Nematods.


Tomato F1 No 5: Determinate plant growth with high fruit setting. Maturity : 65- 68 days after transplant. Fruits are slightly oblong square, uniform colour, and weigh 110-120 gram (0.25 lb) each. Resistant to Nematods and TYLCV /WTG (whitefly- transmitted geminivirus), BW (bacterial wilt), TMV (tomato mosaic virus), F-1 (fusarium wilt race 1), Sm (gray leaf spot - Stemphyllium). F1 No 5 is also very resistant to heat. In open field production, yield is up to 80 ton per Ha.


Tomato F1 T-29: Maturity : 70-75 days after transplanting and harvest can last during one month. Suitable for temperate and subtropical areas. High yields of oblong egg-shaped fruits. Weight is around 100-110 gram per fruit. Thick hard fruits. Indeterminate growth. Good tolerance to fusarium and other common fungus.


Tomato Xina: Very vigorous determinate plants. Well adapted to hot and humid conditions. Maturity : 60-70 days after transplant. Easy to grow during the rainy season in tropical areas. Fruits are round, slightly oblong, firm, diameter~45 mm, weighing 40 grams. Resistant to Nematods and Xanthomonas campestris.


Tomato Tropimech: Determinate plant growth with high fruit setting. Maturity : 65- 68 days after transplant. Fruits are egg-shaped, uniform colour, and weight 110-120 gram (0.25 lb) each. Tolerant to Nematods andTYLCV (Whitefly- transmitted geminivirus).


Tomato F1 Tyking 5: Determinate growth, small, red, blocky fruits of about 90 g - 110 g, extended shelf life. Maturity : 68-70 days after transplanting. Ty-KING 5 shows good tolerance to Heat and Cold, WTG (whitefly-transmitted geminivirus ), BW (bacterial wilt), TMV (tomato mosaic virus ), F-1 (fusarium wilt race 1), Sm (gray leaf spot - Stemphyllium) and Nematods. Ty-King 5 is moderately susceptible (DSI=3) to geminiviruses.


Tomato F1 Daran: Semi determinate plant growth with high fruit setting. Maturity : 65-68 days after transplant. Fruits are square-shaped, uniform colour, and weight 110-120 gram (0.25 lb) each. Tolerant to Nematods and TYLCV /WTG (whitefly- transmitted geminivirus ), BW (bacterial wilt), TMV (tomato mosaic virus ), F-1 (fusarium wilt race 1), Sm (gray leaf spot -Stemphyllium) and Nematods.


Tomato F1 Tyqueen: Determinate growth, round fruits with red colour, extended shelf life, and weight of 150-170 g. Maturity : 68-70 days after transplanting. Ty- QUEEN shows excellent tolerance to Heat and Cold, WTG (whitefly-transmitted geminivirus ), BW (bacterial wilt), TMV (tomato mosaic virus ), F-1 (fusarium wilt race 1), Sm (gray leaf spot Stemphyllium) and Nematods. The resistance to viruses is excellent (DSI = 1).


Tomato F1 Mongal (T-11): Well adapted to hot and tropical conditions, this variety can stand temperatures over 42-45oC (110 F). Determinate growth for open field production. Maturity : 60 - 65 days after transplant and harvest lasts 25- 30 days. High yields. Round slightly flat- shaped fruits with green shoulder before maturity and bright red colour at full maturity, average weight : 140- 160 gram per fruit with good firmness. F1 MONGAL T-11 displays both high heat tolerance and good resistance to diseases, especially bacterial wilt (pseudomonas solanacearum), fusarium, verticillium and powdery mildew.


Tomato F1 Mongal (Immature fruits with green shoulders).


Tomato F1 Sumo: long shelf life tropical variety. Very high yielding. Determinate growth. Round fruits, slightly flat. 7cm to 9 cm in diameter. 180- 200 gram per fruit. For fresh market. Tolerance: Fusarium O, Pseudomonas, Stemphylium, Verticillium.

Tomato F1 Tropic: Semi-determinate variety with 200-220 gram fruits, F1 tropic is very well adapted to hot and tropical conditions. Maturity: 70 days after transplant. Heavy yields, fruits are bright red colour at maturity, average weight : 200-220 g per fruit with good firmness. F1 TROPIC displays both high heat tolerance and good resistance to diseases, especially bacterial wilt, fusarium , verticillium , and powdery mildew.


Tomato F1 No 456: semi-determinate growth, Fruits are Light green colour to bright red at full maturity, round shape, 200-220 gram , , 5 clusters/ plant , 5 fruits/ cluster, Average weight : 200g-220 gram fruit. Tolerance to heat, bacterial wilt, fusarium O, pseudomonas, stemphylium, verticillium.


Tomato F1 Caribo: Suitable for growing in extreme conditions. Can grow all year round in tropical areas. Determinate growth. Strong plants. Fruits weight around 140 gram, with good firmness. High yields with globe, slightly
flattened-shaped fruits, green shoulder before maturity and bright red colour at full maturity. Exceptional tolerance to high temperatures (above 42 o C) and humidity. Resistant to bacterial wilt (pseudomonas solanacearum). Strong tolerance to fusarium.


Tomato F1 Kago: Well adapted to hot and tropical conditions, this variety can stand temperatures over 42- 45 oC (110 F). Determinate growth for open field production. Maturity : 60 - 65 days after transplant and harvest lasts 25- 30 days. Tomato F1 Terminor: Long-shelf life semi determinate tomato variety. A long shelf life semi determinate tomato variety, suitable for summer cropping in temperate areas, adapted to tropical areas . High yielding. Round fruits, firm, 7cm to 9 cm in diameter with weight of 180 gram per fruit. Fruits colour is light green before maturity and bright red at full maturity. Suitable for fresh market. Tolerance: Fusarium O, Pseudomonas, Stemphylium, Verticillium.


Tomato F1 Tyrex 1: Semi-determinate growth, round fruits with attractive orange colour, extended shelf life, mild good flavour, and weight of about 150 gram (up to 180 gram). Maturity : 68- 70 days after transplanting. Ty-REX1 shows excellent tolerance to Heat and Cold, WTG (whitefly-transmitted geminivirus), BW (bacterial wilt), TMV (tomato mosaic virus), F-1 (fusarium wilt race 1), Sm (gray leaf spot - Stemphyllium) and Nematods. The resistance to geminiviruses is very good (DSI = 1.5).
