Hoogendoorn tip: Control and maintenance outside sensors
The growing climate in the greenhouse is largely influenced by weather conditions. The Hoogendoorn iSii process computer software uses measured sun radiation and outside temperature in order to optimally regulate ventilation, heating, the screen, irrigation, etc. It goes without saying that proper climate regulation is dependent on the correctness and accuracy of the outside measurement. Moreover, defective sensors can even damage the greenhouse structure or the crop. For example, if ventilation windows are open during rain or a storm, the sensors would give an incorrect measurement.
Decent and reliable outside sensors are required for proper greenhouse climate regulation and are the basis for a healthy crop. So it's recommended to regularly check that the outside sensors are working properly and, where necessary, have them serviced by a Hoogendoorn partner installer. Ideally, preventative maintenance should be carried out at least every year. This also applies just as much at the sensors inside the greenhouse.
