Russia: greenhouse complex Novosibirsky set to build a vegetable processing plant

Greenhouse complex Novosibirsky is set to build a processing plant and new growing grounds by means of 50 million Euro investment, - reported Public Affairs Service of Novosibirsk (Russia).

The processing plant will comprise a vegetable processing zone, storage zone, and trade and exhibition grounds. According to the CEO of the complex – Natalya Ivanova-Sleptsova – the plant is expected to be built in four years, and to create up to 300 positions of employment.

The size of the grounds and production capacity are still unpublished. The complex is situated in the town of Ob, near Novosibirsk. It currently comprises greenhouses with total area of 170 000 sq.m. Annually the complex produces more than 10 000 tonnes of vegetables, e.g. tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, radish and rocket salad. The complex was built with the support of Novosibirsk Government.
