BioSafe Systems is pleased to announce that ZeroTol 2.0, a foliar broad spectrum bactericide/fungicide, is now registered for use in California. ZeroTol 2.0 has a new and improved formulation with stable Hydrogen Peroxide and Peroxyacetic Acid chemistry. Use ZeroTol 2.0 as a foliar spray to protect crops from a broad spectrum of pathogens.
ZeroTol 2.0 kills on contact to reduce populations of dormant spores and active disease organisms. This unique chemistry reduces disease pressure from both bacterial and fungal pathogens and is ideal for mist propagation and spray booms. A chlorine alternative, ZeroTol 2.0 leaves no residues and can be used on a variety of greenhouse/nursery crops and turf grasses. ZeroTol 2.0 has four-hour REI therefore less labour is lost.
Southern California technical representative Dr. Jay Sughroue says, “Growers are rediscovering the powerful chemistry of using Activated Peroxide for both foliar and soil born disease suppression and resistance management to help increase their profit margins.”
For foliar applications, use ZeroTol to control pathogens like botrytis, alternaria, powdery mildew, bacterial blight, xanthomonas. When used as a drench, ZeroTol 2.0 controls pythium, fusarium, phytophthora, and algae on plugs and root cuttings. ZeroTol 2.0 can also be tank mixed with a compatible systemic chemistry or insecticide to improve total disease control.
