The Produce Mom partners with Nature Fresh Farms for Pepper Pinathon

The Produce Mom and Nature Fresh Farms are inviting consumers to their Pepper Pinathon Pinterest contest. The contest, focused on Nature Fresh Farms’ Bell Peppers, will be held from now until July 3, 2014. The contest asks consumers to visit theproducemom.com, follow the instructions for the Pepper Pinathon Contest, and pin their favourite Nature Fresh Farms Bell Pepper recipes to be eligible to win prizes.

“Consumers really enjoy participating in events like this. They benefit from gaining new recipes and other information straight from the industry experts. I’m excited to focus a Pinterest contest specifically on peppers, which are at the peak of their growing season,” said Lori Taylor, The Produce Mom.

On June 13-14, 2014 Nature Fresh Farms was awarded the Best Overall Pepper as well as the Best Orange Bell Pepper at the 8th annual Perfect Pepper Competition. These products are featured in Nature Fresh Farms recipes.

“It’s a perfect time to promote our peppers,” said Andrea Quiring, Marketing and Social Media Director at Nature Fresh Farms. “Our peppers are in full production and our growers and staff continue to work hard at producing the finest greenhouse products. We hope that consumers will engage in the contest and use the pepper recipes we have provided.”

The Produce Mom’s social media parties and contests have proved to be very popular. It’s a great way to provide consumers with innovative ideas on how to select, store and serve their produce.
