Sri Lanka: Special development program do distribute young plants and seed

The Sri Lankan government has planned to distribute vegetable seeds and young plants as part of a special National Development Program. The Divi Neguma National Development Program is being implemented with the objective of developing home gardens as productive economic units ensuring food and nutrition security. As well as this, the country aims to become more self sufficient by minimizing food and fresh produce imports.
