Australian Organic launches new logo

Aussie celebrities are throwing their weight behind organic produce. Celebrity chef Pete Evans, author and speaker Therese Kerr and renowned gardener and TV personality Costa Georgiadis have helped launch Australian Organic's new community service campaign One logo.

This month the not-for-profit organisation aims to increase consumer trust by educating shoppers to only purchase organic products that display the Australian Organic Certification logo.

Australian Organic's Andrew Monk said the logo was buyers' 100 per cent guarantee the item they were purchasing was produced and created with the health and welfare of people, animals and the environment in mind.

"Our recognisable Australian Certified Organic logo appears on products that our independent certification agency has deemed certified organic,'' Dr Monk said.

"Products wearing the Australian Certified Organic logo are free range, GM free, pasture-fed, water efficient and biodiversity friendly as well as grown free from synthetic pesticides, herbicides, hormones and antibiotics.''
