Europe: FloraHolland puts new pot and garden plant trays into use

Since this week, the first Floratino trays entered into circulation at FloraHolland. Floratino is the new multi-use tray series for pot and garden plants in the FloraHolland range.

Floratino® is an addition to Flora Holland's existing packaging range. "It is a durable packaging concept and answers our wish to reduce the amount of waste we produce." stated FloraHolland on it's website. "The tray fits very well on the CC container. The dimensions of 4 per layer ensures an optimal loading and thus lower transport costs. The Floratino range consists of 5 tray types for pot sizes 7 - 17cm. The tray is also cleaned once every round of circulation and is fitted with a unique identification marker for tracking and tracing. Incorporating the tray in our packaging pool makes it easily accessible for members and customers of FloraHolland."

FloraHolland is introducing the Floratino trays in phases and monitoring its use. This is meant to prevent any problems of availability in peak periods. Initially, they are starting by issuing them only to suppliers of W. Timmermans & Zn. The tray series will become available for new customers in February 2014.
