Spain (Almeria): 300 head growers attend BASF event

BASF summoned 300 agricultural technicians and distributors of plant protection products from Almería, Granada and Murcia to show them their solutions for greenhouse crops. BASF showcased Vivando, Cabrio Duo + Signum products and unveiled the AgCelence concept; the testimonial videos of technicians and farmers who know the virtues of this concept as well of the value of the products mentioned was significantly important in the presentation.

To end the presentation, the results achieved by Dr. Maria Serrano and Domingo Martinez, from the Miguel Hernández University from Alicante, who tried and tested the effectiveness of Vivando, Cabrio Duo + Signum, with truly amazing results, were presented.

With AgCelence, BASF opens a door to a premium agriculture that will allow producers to get the maximum benefits from their lands. This concept identifies a range of products that go beyond obtaining excellent phytosanitary results as they also have positive effects on the plants.

These effects include a bigger production, better fruit quality, and more agronomic efficiency and stress tolerance. It is the new way of doing agriculture proposed by BASF and with which they aim to contribute to the improvement of the diet to cope with the exponential growth of the world population.

Vivando is an innovative fungicide with a new way of acting: it is a true multisite antiodium. Signum WG was presented as the reference fungicide against Botrytis, Sclerotinia and mildew. It is a versatile fungicide suitable for integrated control programs and was created under the AgCelence concept. The last solution presented by the multinational this year was Cabrio Duo EC, a Premium fungicide, with high control that ensures exceptional efficacy against the Downy mildew and the powdery mildew. As it has no dithiocarbamates, its use is recommended in major horticultural crops and it is compatible with IPM and the needs of the food chain. Cabrio Duo EC also has AgCelence technology and yields higher crops, both in quantity and quality.
