Almeria cleans up the mess after rainfall and hailstorms

After the heavy hailstorms and rainfall in El Ejido, repair work is being carried out to normalise transit in all roads and ensure access to the agricultural properties affected. Furthermore, three teams of municipal engineers and rural inspectors are assessing the extent of the damage to the town's road network. The City Council will request for financial aid to repair all infrastructures and country roads.

A technical office in charge of the assessment of damages has already processed more than 138 reports, corresponding to over 230 hectares of crops, mostly peppers, cucumbers, courgettes and ornamental plants. Affected growers can still visit the technical office to announce their damages.
