Firefighting crews quickly extinguished flames that had enveloped a two-story building at a plant nursery off Carmel Valley Road in San Diego on Sunday evening. The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department responded at about 6:30 p.m. to calls of a structure fire at the Evergreen Nursery on Carmel Valley Road, near Via Abertura. The fire was extinguished shortly before 7 p.m., with no injuries reported, according to a dispatcher for the fire department. It was not clear what started the fire. Representatives of Evergreen Nursery could not be reached.
