Sufficient supply of lettuce from German cultivation

The German market situation regarding lettuce remains stable, according to the German Agrarmarkt Informations-Gesellschaft (AMI) on its website. As cultivation is slow at the moment, the harvest potential is likely sufficient.

Moreover, the rainy weather in many parts of Germany was not exactly conducive to the qualitative development, which can increase the failure rate. From the supply side, there is no pressure. General demand has somewhat lessened of late. This, according to the AMI, still has no effect on market stability. Therefore prices remain at current levels, but without more positive potential.

Thanks to drier and warmer weather in many parts of Germany, supply will likely be sufficient to meet demand in the coming weeks, causing import to halt.
