BREAKING NEWS: UK greenhouse windows smashed by books

A woman's greenhouse windows were smashed by books that had been hurled into her garden. The women found three panes had been broken by four large hardbacks thrown from the village hall car park which borders her garden. The 78-year-old said it was the third such incident this year and has asked for a charity book recycling bin to be moved away from the border fence. Mrs Butler, who has lived in the village for more than 40 years, said: “There was glass everywhere, with some of it hanging from the roof so it wasn’t safe to go into the greenhouse. I don’t know why people would do this. I’m a law-abiding citizen and this happened through no fault of mine.”
