Spain: Large fire damages greenhouses in Vicar (Almeria)

A fire in the township of Vicar, in the region of Western Almería, has damaged different greenhouse farms in its vicinity. Illegal dumping of waste could have caused the fire. The first call to the fire department came just after ten past six p.m. on Wednesday, las week. Farmers from the township of Vicar have gone to Asaja (Young Farmers Association) to express their anger and denounce the damage caused by the fire at nearby farms. According to reports from locals, the fire started at a site that was being used as an illegal dump in which the remains of crops are being deposited.
