Japanes greenhouse structures to enter Russia's Sakhalin island

The Sakhalin region's Agriculture Minister Nikolai Borisov met with representatives of the Japanese company "Koshiura Pipe", which manufactures frames for greenhouses.
The company is a major manufacturer of construction elements for the production of greenhouses in Hokkaido. Every year, "Koshiura Pipe" produces 4,000 tons of frames for greenhouses, which are used mainly in Hokkaido for growing roses and strawberries, but you can also use them to grow heat-loving vegetables. More than 60% of Hokkaido greenhouses were built from construction elements of this company.

The purpose of the visit of representatives of the Japanese company was to study the demands for their products on the Sakhalin market. The two sides discussed possible areas of cooperation - the increase in number of unheated greenhouses that are used in spring and summer, as well as greenhouses for year-round gardening, provided that all necessary construction elements are installed.

The Japanese side expressed interest in the development of the Sakhalin market and supply of construction elements of greenhouses to local agricultural producers.
