During the “FlowersExpo' 2013” conducted in Moscow from the 9th to the 11th of September, Ecuador won the affection of Russian buyers for the excellent quality of its flowers. The show was diverse and exceptionally beautiful, which certainly highlighted the participation of our producers in this international fair. Six awards were granted to Ecuador: “BellaRosa” and “Rose Connection” received gold medals for the novelty of its “3D” and “Wild Topaz” varieties, while the companies “Foxy”, “Qualisa”, “Campetc-Florecot” and “Business Ecuador” were given awards for the quality of their flowers.
450 companies from 25 countries attended the event, and more than 50 Ecuadorian entrepreneurs exhibited the Ecuadorian flowers to about 12 thousand visitors.
Russia accounts for 23% of the national flower exportations. Russian culture regarding flower makes it demand a high quality product ; trade relations between Ecuador and Russia are growing and have been strengthened.
