new genetics with characteristics that differ from the ‘bulk varieties’ :

Focus on new products successful for Enza Zaden's demogreenhouse

As of Monday 30 September, the 2013 season has ended for the Enza Zaden tomato demonstration greenhouse in De Lier. Like the previous years, we have welcomed many international visitors again in 2013, especially growers, retailers, marketeers, consultants and product developers.

New product development

This year’s focus, apart from our assortment tasty tomatoes, was on the new selection of truss tomato varieties and the promising hybrids for loose harvest. As sales is difficult nowadays, the main question for most of this year’s visitors was: “Which type and variety allows me to distinguish myself and to expand the opportunities to further develop my business?” Our decision to pay extra attention to ‘new product development’ this season closely matched this question. Our visitors therefore much enjoyed the time we spent showing the selection of new genetics with characteristics that differ significantly from the ‘bulk varieties’ being grown today.

Next season

We look back on an interesting and especially an informative season. We have already started the preparations for next season. As of April 2014 you are welcome again to visit the Enza Zaden demonstration greenhouse.
