Westland Marketing will again organize this year's election and presentation of the Westland Inspiration Award. A prize awarded to Westland entrepreneur who have made a substantial contribution to the Westland horticultural region.
From 26 August to 9 September, several candidates have been put forward for the Westland Inspiration Award. This resulted in a top 10. Subsequently, the jury - consisting of Frits Huffnagel, Wim Smit (Rabobank Westland), Lars Boellaard (Westland Partners) and Angelique Koolschijn (Westland) - selected three nominees on the basis of criteria.
The nominees are: Edward Verbakel (VB Group), Eric Moor (Sion Orchids) and Jos van Mil (Greenco). One of them will be the winner of the Westland Inspiration Award 2013. The jury, together with the SuperCollege, will bestow the award, which is awarded by astronaut André Kuipers.
