Koppert Spain presents new natural enemies for aphid control

In recent years, a significant increase of aphids in intensive greenhouse cultivation has been reported. Koppert continuously updates the techniques of biological pest control. In response to the needs and experiences of producers, Koppert registered Aphipar-M ® (Aphidius matricariae), a wasp that has proven to effectively combat different aphid species (Mizus persicae and Aphis gossypii). 

The integration of this new biological tool for peppers is the result of an ambitious research program set up by Koppert in collaboration with the IMIDA research center (Instituto Murciano de Investigación y Desarrollo Agrario y Alimentario, part of the Regional Ministry of Agriculture in Murcia). The last 7 years Aphipar-M ® underwent numerous demanding trials, which showed that Aphidius matricariae works efficiently against aphids even at high temperatures.

From now on, the technical experts of Koppert (Aphipar-M ®) can deploy Aphidius matricariae on each company as a remedy for aphids. Aphipar-M ® can be used in combination with various preventive agents. Koppert has several resources available for different crops and pests.
